Expression prompt
EXPRESSION
Grin. Peak shape below; eye/brow region clear, mouth/jaw region clear. Phase controls the visible displacement toward or away from this peak.
BROWS: Lift slightly at both outer ends.
EYES: Narrow through raised lower lids without closing fully.
CHEEKS: Lift clearly on both sides, compressing beneath the eyes.
MOUTH: Pull both corners outward and upward; reveal a continuous upper tooth band.
JAW: Open slightly while keeping the chin centered.
GAZE: Maintain an engaged direct gaze.
EXPRESSION SCOPE: Apply only these facial movements; intensity changes movement amplitude, not identity or rendering style. Keep the head angle, body pose, framing and illumination supplied by the other modules. Use viewer-left/right consistently. Do not add tears, sweat, blush colors, symbols or props unless separately requested.
FACIAL MUSCLE COORDINATION
The following targets describe the peak pose. Muscle names control visible movement, not a medical illustration; keep intact skin and show no muscle fibers, labels or anatomy overlays.
lateral frontalis: viewer-left trace, viewer-right trace. lift the outer brow upward, increasing the arch without shifting the eye socket.
zygomaticus major: viewer-left clear, viewer-right clear. pull the mouth corner diagonally upward and outward toward the cheekbone; move the adjacent cheek with it.
orbicularis oculi, orbital portion: viewer-left light, viewer-right light. squeeze the periocular region, raise the upper cheek and compress skin near the outer eye corner.
jaw-opening coordination: suprahyoid group with release of masseter and temporalis: viewer-left trace, viewer-right trace. lower the mandible to create the specified mouth aperture; preserve hinge continuity and avoid simultaneous clenching.
RELEASE: Keep unrequested opposing pulls near their neutral baseline: corrugator supercilii; risorius; depressor anguli oris; levator labii superioris alaeque nasi and levator labii superioris; orbicularis oris; mentalis; masseter and temporalis. Coordinate lip aperture with jaw position; do not clamp the jaw while requesting a dropped jaw. Brow lifting and knitting may co-occur as a balanced resultant, not two displaced brows. Upper-lid lift may co-occur with lower-lid tension; do not squeeze both eyes shut when the target needs an open gaze.
SURFACE RESPONSE: Skin compression and folds follow the active pull only. Preserve resting anatomy, age and identifying marks. Use shape changes and a few local creases allowed by the chosen style; do not add permanent wrinkles, new eye bags or aging. Keep eye direction as a separate gaze instruction, without resizing pupils or attributing gaze to facial-expression muscles.
PERFORMANCE PHASE: Capture one still at the held peak, with the specified regional strengths and left/right balance. Do not add a motion sequence.
Actual generation prompt
EDIT TARGET: The attached neutral portrait is the approved identity, rendering and framing reference. Change only the requested facial soft-tissue movement.
FACE IDENTITY
IDENTITY: One original adult character, approximately 28 years old, with an androgynous appearance; the same individual in every expression.
PROPORTIONS: Oval face with face height about 1.35 times cheekbone width; eye line near mid-height, with approximately one eye-width between inner eye corners.
EYES: Medium almond-shaped eyes, dark brown irises of equal size, defined upper eyelid folds and gently curved lower lids; preserve inner and outer corner locations.
BROWS: Medium-width straight eyebrows with a soft arch in the outer third; dark brown, with a softly tapered outer tip and a rounded inner end.
NOSE: Straight narrow bridge, softly rounded tip and small symmetrical nostrils; nose base width approximately equals the inner eye-corner distance.
MOUTH: Moderate-width mouth, defined but shallow cupid bow, lower lip slightly fuller than upper lip; preserve resting lip volume and philtrum length.
JAW: Softly tapered jaw, rounded chin and moderate cheekbone projection; ears of equal size at consistent positions beside the head.
SKIN: Even medium warm-brown complexion; keep the same underlying tone and age impression, without expression-dependent changes in skin texture.
HAIR: Short dark brown hair, straight side part at viewer-left, forehead visible, no bangs across the eyes and no facial hair.
MARKS: One small round mole below the viewer-left outer eye corner, about one iris diameter beneath it; no additional freckles, scars or accessories.
These describe the resting identity, not the final expression. Preserve bone structure, landmark spacing, iris size, hairline, age impression and distinctive marks. Only the requested soft-tissue motion may change.
RENDERING STYLE
1. Draw an original adult as a precise, polished hand-painted animation character portrait. Preserve believable adult facial anatomy and nuanced soft-tissue expression. Use clean tapered dark-brown contours, restrained warm skin colors, matte two-step cel shading with gentle transitions at cheeks, a simple off-white backdrop and no decorative elements.
STYLE AVOID: No caricature, oversized eyes, childlike proportions, glossy plastic, text or watermark.
PORTRAIT FRAME
One head-and-shoulders portrait, square frame, face centered, eye-level straight-on view with zero head roll. Hair and chin fully visible; head occupies about 60% of frame height. Plain light neutral background. Keep the same crop and softly even illumination across the set; use only the shading methods supported by the selected style.
MODULE PRIORITY
Identity landmarks first, facial movements second, fixed portrait framing third; transfer contour, palette relationships, shading and texture from the style. A style-only reference must not supply its identity, facial expression, hair, costume, head pose or scene. Translate movement into the style without adding realistic wrinkles or glossy volume to a flat style. Resting mouth/eyelid descriptions yield only to the requested movement, not to a different identity.
QUALITY CHECK
Check the same face outline, eye spacing, nose shape, resting lip proportions, hairline and identifying marks across the set. Check each requested brow, lid, cheek, lip, jaw and gaze movement. Keep anatomy coherent and preserve the chosen rendering technique. No added labels, lettering or watermarks.

IDENTITY ANCHOR
Use the approved neutral output for this same style as the attached identity/edit reference. Change only the requested facial movement; retain its crop, light, hair and identity. If the neutral output has not been supplied, obtain it before generating this variation. Do not use the preceding expression as the identity anchor.
